What are your areas of interest in terms of social development?

community development

Do you volunteer in your community?

no, because i feel there is a greater need to volunteer in other communities.

What do you want to talk about on the Kwanda forums?

Kwanda The Netherlands and the obstacles/opportunities/chances/changes made to communities in SA

Tell us about the community where you live

The centre of Amsterdam. Used to be an area for the working class but has now shifted to being a and upscale part of town. Lot's of tourists, bicycles, canals, small streets, little shops, young and old people.

What do you want to learn from the members of the Kwanda social network?

Because we are thinking of creating a Kwanda The Netherlands, we really need to know all the ins and outs to make Kwanda a global success. It might sound strange that The Netherlands needs a program like Kwanda, but there are enough problems to deal with, such as xenophobia, forced prostitution, loneliness..hopefully we will be able to make Kwanda work for the Netherlands and show people what they are capable of when they open up to learn, get to know the people in their community and the skills they posess!

Do you have access to skills, knowledge & networks through your paid or volunteer work?

I work for a community development organisation!
