Good day to the Kwanda Community
My friends and I, the youth of SA, have under taken in our own capacity to give back to our community and reach the children of South Africa through small events such as soccer tournaments. We have under taken to work closely with councilor’s offices in each region that we visit, the small businesses and other community organisations in order to achieve this goal.
Our point of departure is Orange Farm. We've decided to mobilise the youth and in so doing have come up with a campaign with good reach to create a top of mind awareness that will engage the general public of Orange Farm and its youth in a unique, fun and relevant way so as to rally support and attendance to the Soccer Tournaments and social events we organise.
We aim to encourage a sense of patriotism and pride amongst the youth towards our kids soccer teams, create a general state of excitement with the youth around these events, use sport to rearticulate and renew commitment to national values, build confidence in the capacity our youth possess and for them to start believing in themselves and to enthuse youth, build pride and foster collective “ownership” of Orange Farm.
We are excited about this initiative that hopes to build national unity and pride. We can only succeed in realising our vision for the communities if the people in the comminity work together. We would like to see communicators, people who are moved by reaching one child in one community at a time, voluntarily give their time and expertise as evidence of the great commitment of South Africans to our country.
