Making Communities Look Better, Work Better and Feel Better

The Health Economics and HIV/AIDS Research Division (HEARD) has came with the intergrated system for stakeholders working with communities which are:Department of Health;Department of Social Development; SAPS; Department of Education;Department of Home Affairs;Department of Agriculture; Department of Transport and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).

The major idea is to pilot the referral scheme which will close the gap of Orphans and Vulnurable Children (OVC) in Amajuba District. Amajuba district had a high rate of HIV/AIDS infected in year 2008 which + 45% of the population and only +/- 14% of the population which is on ARVs.

The rate of crime is also alarming in our district women are raped each an every day. The Amajuba District Flagship Task Team has been formulated in addressing problems we faced as the society of Amajuba District. Kwanda as an organization we would like to form part of this flagship team as we are Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) working hand in hand with government departments.

Our district is one of the small in the country but we are facing high challangies as CSOs but with the help of HEARD and other government departments we are getting there.
